The Victorian State Youth Brass Band is run by the Skunkworks Community and is affiliated with the Victorian Band League. It was established in 1978 and re-established in 2021 after a five-year break.
The band is a great way to meet other brass players from all over Victoria who come together for a monthly rehearsal (on a Sunday) and participate in various performances, such as marching in the Moomba Parade or attending the summer band camp at Bright. They also have interstate and international touring opportunities on the events calendar.

A few of the Diamond Valley Senior Band members were members of this band in their youth. Current Development Band Member Riley was a band member before it took a hiatus (he is the trombone player in the photo).

The VSYBB’s next rehearsal is on Sunday, 19th February. All brass and percussion players under the age of 25 are invited to the rehearsal and become band members.
